Balancing Travel And Study In Your Twenties

When you are in your early twenties and life is pulling you in every which way, it can be tempting to escape from it all for a while and enjoy some time travelling while you are able to.

Whether it's safariing in Kenya or enjoying student accommodation in Milan, yong adulthood is a great time to get out there and see the world.

The flexibility of being young and having no major commitments is the ideal time to go travelling the world and it will allow you to experience more, decide what you want to do in life and get your life in check before you come home. One of the ways you can do this is partake in some study while you travel, for example through a tutor search website like Tutor Map.

You won’t have the stress of a career yet, however, you can still start to get some qualifications ready for when you are ready to come home and settle. You may need to stop in one place on your travels for a period of a couple of months to a year, especially if you need stability with studying. For example, if you're studying healthcare you will need to do some fieldwork to gain some experience through unpaid work. If this is the case you'll want to look for student accommodation in Milan (or wherever you are currently) for a while until you have completed your mandatory experience and you're able to get back on the road.

Do a little every day

It is important if you bring the idea of study into your life that you take the time to do it every single day. If you can manage 10 minutes, 1 hour or 3 hours… it doesn’t matter. The important thing is that we take time out of our day and add it into our routine.

If you can add study into your schedule each day you will be able to stay on top of the work and this will in turn allow you to succeed in your qualification and get what you need for your future career.

Do your reading on the move

If are planning on taking a long plane ride or a bus trip during the day, why not use this as the perfect opportunity to do some research and reading?

When you are travelling you can’t do much else, so it is incredibly helpful if you are able to read up on a subject and take extra time on it while you have a quiet moment in the day.

This is an effective way to make sure you can stay on top of your study because you will likely be commuting to and from places quite frequently during your travel.

Study online

If you don’t want to be tied down to a specific school, and you need to be able to have the freedom with your daily schedule to not attend classes, online courses are ideal for you.

There are a huge range of course such as this msc business management online which will allow you to study freely, flexibly and to maintain your study throughout other commitments and lifestyle choices.

Contact a tutor

If you will be studying abroad the main issue which could be faced would be the absence of a tutor and and absence of classmates who you can discuss work with.

However when you choose to study online you will always have access to online resources and if you think you will need it, you can ask for a tutor to be assigned who will email you with advice and chat to you whenever you need help understanding a topic.

It means that you can still enjoy your long beach walks, exotic food and festivals and come home in the evening and study with a dedicated professional to achieve your goals.
