To be a great leader you have to show a good example to everyone in the workplace and that means being a positive influence on their work. You need to come into work with a smile on your face and purpose each and every day and work in a way which proves that you belong where you are right now.

Make sure that you are a good influence and that everyone wants to follow in your footsteps.

Be transparent

Honesty, trust and transparency go a long way in business and to be a great leader you need to be able to be honest with your workers. If you are having issues with a client or a project don’t keep it to yourself, share the issue and invite the help of other people in the project. This will create trust in the workplace and make everyone feel more valued as an employee.

Never stop learning

Even though you’re in a leadership position now, you should never stop trying to improve yourself and find new ways to connect with your team members and understand their needs. Being consistent in learning will enable you to grow as a leader as well.
