Clerkenwell-based technology business Ve Interactive has made its second multi-million pound deal in a month, this time snapping up French big data analytics company qunb.

The agreement’s value was not immediately disclosed but it follows the $12 million deal to acquire the digital advertising company GDM Digital.

Through the latest investment Ve plans to ramp up its big data capabilities, with qunb’s 10 staff joining Ve’s Paris offices to form a new service called VeInsights.

The new offering will be headed by qunb co-founder Cyrille Vincey.

In a statement Ve said: “Ve currently monitors and analyses 33% of the global ecommerce market. Combining this information with qunb’s visualisation and monitoring expertise will allow Ve to vastly expand the insights offered to its customers.”

VeInsights will offer retrospective snapshots of consumer trends within ecommerce as well as live and even predictive analytics. It says the insight will give brands a clearer picture of customer trends, allowing them to adjust offers accordingly.

David J. Brown, CEO of Ve, said: “By combining qunb’s technology and expertise with Ve’s current offering, we will be able to give our customers an unprecedented level of insight into the online purchasing habits of consumers.”
