Small business owners have until 25 May to enter the Nectar Small Business Awards, with the chance to win cash prizes.

The national awards, which is fronted by celebrity business woman Karren Brady, is free to enter and successful SMEs will win £2,000 plus 50,000 Nectar points.

They will also get the chance to receive free mentoring from Ms Brady herself at a round table event held later this year.

Categories include: small business of the year, innovation of the year and contribution to the community.

Co-judge and managing director of Nectar Business, Will Shuckburgh, said: “Having run the awards for six years, we know the determination and hard work it takes to manage a small business.

“In order to champion as many small businesses as possible and give them the recognition they deserve, we’ve decided to move back the entry deadline until the 25 May.

“I encourage all UK based SMEs to get involved and enter as many categories as applicable for a chance to be rewarded as leaders in their field.”
