Dyson has revealed 11 new home technology products, including a robot vacuum with artificial intelligence for stain detection and a cordless cleaner just 38mm wide.
Dyson has unveiled a new line-up of home technology, headlined by a robotic vacuum capable of detecting and tackling stains using AI. The UK engineering firm says its latest innovations aim to make household cleaning faster and more efficient.
The Dyson Spot and Scrub AI robot vacuum can clean both wet and dry floors while navigating around obstacles. It forms part of an 11-strong product range, which also features a compact air purifier, a new hygiene cleaner and a re-engineered cordless vacuum.
At an event in Berlin, Sir James Dyson also showcased the PencilVac, billed as the world’s slimmest vacuum. Measuring just 38mm in diameter, it will launch in the UK early next year.
“Over the years we have re-imagined the format of products through design, technology and research,” Sir James said. “Developing new technology motors, heaters, separation systems and aerodynamics has enabled us to radically change product formats while improving performance.”
The entrepreneur pointed to Dyson’s history of design breakthroughs, from the bagless vacuum cleaner to bladeless fans and high-speed hair dryers, saying the new range combines “fresh formats” with improvements to core technologies.
The announcement highlights Dyson’s continued push into AI-driven household tech and comes as competition intensifies in the premium home appliance market.
