The London-based start-up, which invites users to join in challenges and create their own, has raised a total of $1.85 million from investors including VC firm HTG Ventures, Daniel and Raphael Khalili – investors in Summly, and David Reuben Junior of Reuben Brothers Ltd and Mercevents Ltd.
“Progress has been well beyond our expectations since we launched in to beta last year,” said FightMe co-founder Joelle Hadfield.
“We were featured in the Best New Apps section on the iTunes App Store, made our first hire in the US and although we initially focused on the European market, already well over half of our users are coming from the States,” she added.
The business has experienced at 25-fold growth in the last year and users upload 10 videos per month on average.
The company was co-founded by Jamie Lorenz, who founded London’s The Cuckoo Club.
