Data from analytics business IHS Technology and app market intelligence outfit App Annie show demand for digital products are continuing to soar.

Downloads of digital movies, a market populated with more mature customers, jumped 21 per cent last year to reach $8 billion worldwide.

As a total, the US spends the most on digital content in total, although South Korea spends the most per consumer, the study shows.

“We identified stand-out markets where consumers are not only monetizing better, but still have potential for growth,” said Jack Kent, principle analyst for mobile at IHS.

These include South Korea, where overall digital spend per capita is much higher than the US, or the UK, which has one of the strongest online music markets.”

Considering available data, exploring avenues like becoming a mobile game developer offers a lucrative opportunity for financial success. With the widespread availability of smart devices and the increasing global mobile device penetration, there is a vast and diverse user base hungry for engaging and entertaining games. If you are a developer, it makes sense to monetize mobile games and tap into a dynamic market with the potential for substantial financial returns.
