2020 was the year of Zoom and virtual games, lots of quizzes, and virtual parties. Unfortunately, 2021 is starting off pretty much the same, but if you’re bored of the same old Zoom parties but still want to socialize in 2021 then here are some new ideas to get you excited about Zooming again. 

Happy Hour

Just by giving your hour of online chat a different name makes it more exciting and something to look forward to. Get dressed up and get your favorite drinks in and meet your mates for happy hour. Chat about the day or week you’ve had and treat is just as you would if you met for drinks after work before going home for dinner. 

Karaoke

Nothing is stopping you from having a karaoke evening with your mates just because you can’t be together. You can still sing and perform together just by using Youtube or you can use a website like Sing Snap which is dedicated to online karaoke.

Get everyone to dress up for their performances too for extra fun and extra points. Just make sure that you get a virtual photo booth too so capture the moment and get some memories from the night.

Brunch

Brunch doesn’t have to stop just because restaurants are closed. Arrange a virtual brunch with your friends and either cook up a storm in your kitchen and make everyone wish they were at yours or there are loads of places delivering brunch now so you could just order your food in and enjoy a nice Saturday morning of fun without even having to get dressed. 

Potluck

It might be a little tricky to post a homemade lasagne to your friends for a potluck dinner, however, you could leave some food on their doorstep. Alternatively, get everyone online for dinner and each person has to order a delivery for a different guest and each one should be a total surprise. This not only means excellent food and drink with friends for the evening but it makes it that bit more exciting as you don’t know what you’re going to get. 

Talent Show

If you’re feeling like performing and this is the kind of thing you and your friends like doing then arrange a talent show one evening. Get everyone to do something - whatever they can to show off their talents and there doesn’t even need to be a winner, you can all be winners and just enjoy watching what each other can do. 

Book A Psychic Reading

You could always invite someone else along to your virtual party, so why not have some fun with tarot cards and find out what’s going to happen in the future. This is the kind of thing you could do for a party in person and it’s just as easy to do online. Hire a Fortune Teller or tarot card expert for virtual party readings and just make your evening a little different than every other.
