TeamSystem has expanded its European presence with the acquisition of ACD, a French developer of accounting and management software, as it seeks to strengthen its position in the digitalisation of small businesses and professional services.

The deal marks a further push into France, where regulatory changes, including the gradual introduction of mandatory electronic invoicing, are expected to accelerate demand for digital platforms. The reforms mirror developments in Italy, where similar measures have driven widespread adoption of digital tools among companies and SMEs.

Founded in 2004, ACD provides software used by around 3,200 accounting firms, indirectly supporting more than 1.3m businesses. The company, which employs more than 280 staff across offices in Tours and Aix-en-Provence, generated revenues of approximately €35m in 2024. Its cloud-based platforms incorporate artificial intelligence to support accounting, payroll, customer management and document processing.

Federico Leproux, chief executive of TeamSystem, said France was a key market in the group’s growth strategy. “The French context is closely aligned with Italy’s, where electronic invoicing has been a major driver of digitalisation,” he said. “With ACD, we aim to support professionals through this transition and strengthen our role in the European market.”

Separately, TeamSystem has acquired DIA Yazılım, a Türkiye-based provider of cloud enterprise resource planning software. The company employs more than 100 people and serves tens of thousands of users, offering modular systems designed to meet the operational and regulatory needs of SMEs.

Leproux said the Turkish deal reflected a broader strategy of targeting markets with similar structural dynamics to Italy. “We are pursuing a long-term approach based on local expertise and scalable solutions that meet the evolving needs of SMEs,” he said.

The transactions highlight a wave of consolidation in Europe’s business software sector, as providers seek to scale across markets and capitalise on regulatory-driven demand for digital tools.

Advisers on the ACD deal included EY and Herbert Smith Freehills Kramer, while the DIA transaction involved PwC, Core Finance and Esin Attorney.
